Simply Home

Day 9 post surgery and learning to take it easy. Thank you for the flowers, home help, child care and meals this week. Noah always game for outing if you've got time to drop by in the morning.

Most thanks to my Mom and Dad who've held down the fort amidst the minions.

I've been for several very short walks and so grateful that I remain pain and infection free. I've also received a few visitors and many of your texts, emails and phone calls. Thank you.

As a testament to the Lord's healing, several nurses who've visited me this week asked how many weeks I'd been home .... rather than how many days!

Next chemo has already been scheduled for February 12th which is quite soon after surgery too,

Until my next post,

Love, Lee

  1. Hope this is not a duplicate comment. So glad for this wonderful news. The whole journey reminds me of the song God is God and I am Not. We must place faith in the unknown and unseen in the beginning and once we do God literally shows us why He is God and we are not. Words below.
    Love Heidi
And the pain falls like a curtain
On the things I once called certain
And I have to say the words I fear the most
    I just don’t know

    And the questions without answers
    Come and paralyze the dancer
So I stand here on the stage afraid to move
Afraid to fall, oh, but fall I must
On this truth that my life has been formed from the dust

God is God and I am not
I can only see a part of the picture He’s painting
God is God and I am man
So I’ll never understand it all
    For only God is God

And the sky begins to thunder
And I’m filled with awe and wonder
‘Til the only burning question that remains
    Is who am I

Can I form a single mountain
Take the stars in hand and count them
Can I even take a breath without God giving it to me
He is first and last before all that has been
    Beyond all that will pass

Oh, how great are the riches of His wisdom and knowledge
How unsearchable for to Him and through
Him and from Him are all things

So let us worship before the throne
Of the One who is worthy of worship alone

  2. You are remarkable...GOD is remarkable and He's remarkably working in you and through you!!!!

I remember my first chemo after the surgery...it seemed so soon, yet I was glad to be getting the process completed and moving on.

Lifting you in prayer continually and praising the Lord with you and for you,
    Joy
